Traditional Maya approaches provide support for Guatemalan survivors of gender-based violence

As part of a comprehensive approach to preventing and addressing gender-based violence, USAID’s Tejiendo Paz has provided culturally relevant and personalized attention to 737 survivors through trusted local partners, disseminated a GBV prevention communication campaign in four local languages that reached an estimated 70,000 people in the Western Highlands, and supported community-led development of four inter-institutional reporting routes.
