In bustling classrooms in Ramallah, children gathered around tables covered with materials, eagerly building models of eco-friendly homes. This scene marked the launch of USAID’s Basic Education Activity (BEA) STEAM Summer Camp on July 17, aiming to ignite creativity and curiosity through activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.
The camp’s structure encourages the development of leadership skills, social skills, and curiosity among participants. Children engage in various educational projects, such as planting seeds, building circuits and creating art from recycled materials.
Sara Khader is a mechanical engineering student who choose to work as a camp facilitator, sharing her love of science with children.
