USAID-funded Quality Learning Project, implemented by Creative, was highlighted in the September/October edition of USAID/Kyrgyz Republic’s Newsletter. Country Director Saule Hamzina is profiled presenting teaching manuals and other methodological materials at the close-out event in Bishkek.

The five year Quality Learning Project (QLP) has been working in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan to further the development of in-service and pre-service teacher training programs, and promote effective school finance mechanisms and transparent school spending. The project supports the Ministry of Education’s shift towards a competency-based education system. QLP has been helping to transform student-centered learning approaches in order to develop critical thinking skills and expand access to quality basic education.
