Nowruz Mubarak!

On this spring equinox, Creative celebrates in spirit along with Persians and others in the Middle East, the festivities of Nowruz, which means literally ‘happy day.’ Celebrated for nearly 3,000 years, Nowruz is deeply rooted in the traditions of Zoroastrians of the Sassanian period and signifies the renewal of life, a rebirth. During the 13 days of the New Year celebration, the scent of hyacinth, much like the smell of a Christmas tree, abounds along with sweets and traditional dishes. The verse below is taken from the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám and is considered to be in the spirit of Nowruz.

“…Come fill the Cup, and in the Fire of Spring

The Winter Garment of Repentance fling:

The Bird of Time has but a little way”
