Creative welcomes Michael Zamba, Senior Director of Communications

Michael J.. Zamba is an award-winning professional with nearly 30 years of communications, mídia, marketing and journalism experience.

He joins Creative after working more than two years at Counterpart International as the Vice President of Communications and Partnerships. Under his direction, Counterpart solidified its external messaging, raised its profile among key audiences and won six prestigious awards.

Prior to working in the international nonprofit sector, Michael worked for 13 years in Mexico City as a correspondent, editor, publisher and development director for a variety of U.S. and Mexican media companies. Michael created and managed the largest circulating English-language daily in Latin America, as well as the creation of a regional Spanish-language wire service and seminars that trained nearly 500 journalists, designers and photographers.

He is the author of three published books and earned a BA in Print Journalism from American University. He lives in Bethesda with his wife and two teenage daughters.
