Lawrence Goldman is the Chief of Party for the USAID-supported Jordan Technical Assistance Program, which works closely with the Ministries of Education and Youth to strengthen the technical and institutional capacity to successfully implement programs and services.
Larry had worked previously with Creative from 2003 to 2006, during which time he was posted to Kabul to serve as Deputy Chief of Party for USAID’s Afghanistan Primary Education Program, the flagship education activity of U.S. government support to the country’s reconstruction efforts.
Larry has spent the past 30-plus years designing and implementing international development programs in Africa, Asia and Central America. Most recently, he worked at the Millennium Challenge Corp. as Senior Director for Human and Community Development. Before that, he was at FHI 360, serving as acting Director of Global Education and Regional Director for Education in Asia-Pacific. In addition, he worked for several international development partners, including EDC, UMass Amherst, AIR, AED, ICMA, World Learning and IFAD.
Larry earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Communications from The George Washington University, a Master of Arts in Comparative Government from the College of William & Mary and an Ed.D. in Education Policy/International from The George Washington University.
