Kate Thomas is a Senior Technical Advisor in the Education Division, primarily focusing on business development and thought leadership in early learning and education systems. Kate came to Creative with 11 years of experience in international education development and more than 15 years in early childhood and primary education.
She specializes in early childhood development, care, and education, including improving instruction to support foundational learning, early childhood and education systems and education planning and policy. For example, Kate recently authored USAID’s global guidance for developing Early Childhood Education programs, developed Rwanda’s Early Learning and Development Standards and completed Egypt’s Early Childhood Education Sector Analysis and sector planning.
Kate is a certified PMP with a strong international education record, including in-depth experience in Rwanda, Egypt, China, Tanzania, DRC, Mozambique and Saudi Arabia. She holds a Master’s in early childhood through Primary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. She is a vocal advocate for international early childhood development and co-chairs the Basic Education Coalition Early Childhood Working Group.
