Susan Kemp is a democracy and governance specialist with nearly 20 years of international development experience in civic engagement, responsabilité, gender equity and social inclusion, and capacity strengthening. She currently oversees the Governance practice area at Creative Associates International.
Précédemment, Kemp served as a Director in Chemonics’ democracy and governance practice, where she provided technical advisory services and training to programs globally and supported learning initiatives. She co-founded and led Chemonics’ Center for Politically Informed Programming, which focused on integrating thinking and working politically and applied political economy analysis globally and across sectors.
Actuellement, she serves on the TWP Community of Practice Steering Committee. She has worked on democracy and governance issues globally, including gender and women’s participation, droits de l'homme, responsabilité, and civil society strengthening with organizations including World Vision US, the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, the National Democratic Institute and Freedom House. She has provided technical assistance and supported projects across the Middle East and North Africa, l'Amérique latine, Asie et Afrique.
Kemp holds an MA in International Human Rights from the University of Denver, with a concentration in Middle East Studies.
