No country is immune from fragility, conflict and violence. Malheureusement, too many countries and regions face armed conflict or other forms of violence, often the result of fragility, weak governance and rule of law, exclusion, ethno-sectarian tensions or unresolved political and socioeconomic grievances.
The Programming for Prevention and Peacebuilding (P4P2) IDIQ provides USAID with the means to implement programs that assist with: un) preventing the outbreak, escalation, or recurrence of conflict and violence; b) promoting peaceful, resilient societies; c) adapting USAID’s traditional development work to account for its effects on conflicts; and d) expanding USAID’s peacebuilding and stabilization capabilities. The goal is to improve development outcomes in fragile, conflict or violence-affected countries.
P4P2 can be used by any USAID Mission, bureau or independent office to prevent, mitigate, manage or recover from conflict and violence and/or integrate conflict-sensitive approaches across all development sectors with the goal of improving development outcomes in fragile, conflict or violence-affected countries.
