Somali students in their own words

“I remember the night before my first day at school, my mom told me you will go to school. I couldn’t sleep the whole night,” says one Somali student. Out-of-school students in Somalia wanting to return to classrooms had a unique opportunity through an accelerated basic education program launched by Somalia’s Ministry of Education, with support from USAID’s Bar ama Baro.
