The USAID-funded Tejiendo Paz (Construcción de paz) Proyecto trabaja en el Altiplano Occidental de Guatemala para apoyar iniciativas de paz.. Delia Catú, a Maya Kaqchikel woman, works for Association Pop Noj to help youth reintegrate into their communities of origin after trying to migrate abroad. Delia discusses the factors that determine if people will stay in their communities, such as being able to depend on basic services.
Tejiendo Paz works with indigenous leaders like Delia to support the topics they prioritize in their own communities and build their capacity to collectively address the issues.
