Simon King is the Senior Manager of Evaluation and Research, primarily focusing his efforts on technical activities and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) related to education programs. With a rich experience spanning more than 12 años, Simon has supported numerous USAID basic education programs, primarily through his expertise in program impact evaluation and learning.
Simon has conducted capacity development activities in various countries that support program teams and local ministries in conducting education assessments. Simon’s technical support for education programs is multifaceted, encompassing implementation, system strengthening and behavioral economics.
Before working in development, Simon spent years in various countries teaching middle and high school mathematics, including two years as a teacher in Chipata, Zambia for the global nonprofit Volunteer Services Overseas. After moving to the United States, Simon served as a department chair, high school director and school principal.
Simon has a Master’s in Statistics from Texas A&Universidad M. He would like to be a perpetual student and stubbornly refuses to complete his doctoral thesis at University College London. En cambio, he chooses to spend much of his free time running and hiking.
