Jamie Bowen is a Senior Technical Advisor and advances the technical implementation of Creative’s education portfolio and supports business development. Jamie came to Creative with more than 15 years of experience in education and development, including as a primary school teacher, program manager, and education consultant.
Previamente, Jamie worked at Education for Employment, where she led the creation and implementation of its 2025 Education Strategy and the organization’s foundational standards for education and training. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jamie co-authoredUSAID’s Returning to Learning During Crises: Decision-making and Planning Tools for Education Leaders to support educators in addressing the effects of the pandemic and school closures in LMICs. Prior to focusing on international education development, Jamie taught primary school in Oakland, California, where she worked in full inclusion classes, integrating learners with special needs into the general education classroom.
Jamie has a Master’s in International Education Development from Teachers College, Universidad de Columbia, a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a multi-subject teaching credential in the state of California.
Jamie served in the Peace Corps in Mali and has experience in sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, y Asia Central.
