40+ years of promoting positive change

Creative has implemented hundreds of projects around the globe since it was founded in 1977. From education and elections to governance and economic growth, Creative’s efforts have made a difference. For example, since the year 2000, Creative has trained more than 389,000 teachers in 21 countries—providing them with new skills and techniques that ultimately benefit their students.

Goodwill Credit Card Donations

Date: September 1999 – February 2000

Creative oversaw the installation and testing of components necessary to create a system for Goodwill’s web page to accept credit card donations....

 

 

Goodwill FARS Change Order

Date: September 2001 – October 2001

Creative made changes to the FARS online reporting system, primarily in the Gain or Loss Print Ready Report and Financial Position Print Ready Report....

 

 

Goodwill Online Vehicle Auction

Date: December 1999 – January 2000

Creative developed a database-driven vehicle auction application for the web. This allows bidders to register and pay fees online, review photos and information related to the vehicles being auctioned and view the status of their bid(s). It provides a web-based administrative interface for auction staff to update product and auction listings, as well as review the status of bids. ...

 

 

Greater Horn of Africa Initiative for Conflict Prevention

Political Transitions Date: August 1996 – April 1997

Creative prepared a practitioner's manual, Preventing and Mitigating Violent Conflicts: A Guide for Practitioners, to support the Greater Horn of Africa Initiative. The guide focused on: 1) a summary of literature and provision of a common language in conflict prevention and mitigation; 2) discussion of the most effective tools used in conflict prevention and mitigation efforts; and 3) discussion of the conflicts in the Greater Horn and an examination of their sources....

 

 

Guatemala – Youth Alliance Program (YAP)

Governance Date: September 2004 – January 2008

Limited opportunities in education, job training and employment left more than one million young people in Guatemala disenfranchised and a recognized urgency to address the needs of at-risk youths. Creative provided technical assistance to local crime prevention councils and designed innovative job training projects to enable youths to enter the workforce. Guatemala – Youth Challenge Program (YCP)

Governance Date: April 2008 – December 2009

Based on the promising results of the Guatemala Youth Alliance Program, USAID awarded Creative the Youth Challenge Alliance Program to continue improving the lives of Guatemala’s vulnerable and at-risk youth. With a focus on impoverished youth who live in neighborhoods with high unemployment and limited job training opportunities, it provided positive alternatives to street life and crime by raising public awareness about vulnerable youth and changing perceptions about them. ...
