40+ years of promoting positive change

Creative has implemented hundreds of projects around the globe since it was founded in 1977. From education and elections to governance and economic growth, Creative’s efforts have made a difference. For example, since the year 2000, Creative has trained more than 389,000 teachers in 21 countries—providing them with new skills and techniques that ultimately benefit their students.

Central Asian Republic – Quality Learning Project

Date: September 2007 - September 2012

The Soviet Union’s collapse created new constraints and challenges for Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, leaving them with outmoded education systems. The Quality Learning Project (QLP) helped them move away from the tradition of rote learning and memorization to student-centered learning approaches that developed critical thinking skills. QLP further supported government efforts to develop and implement their national education strategies and the Education for All Fast Track Initiative grants....

CETT PROJECT TRACKING

Date: April - May 2002

Work included creating the ability to download data to Excel via a custom Dashboard interface for subsequent importing of stored database information into MS Word in order to generate name tags and lists for mailing, e-mail distribution and registration as well as the ability to view and print data via the dashboard ordered by organization, group affiliation, commitment and action....

 

 

Colombia – Initial Governance Response Program

Economic Growth Date: October 2007 - July 2011

USAID’s Office of Transitional Assistance Initial Government Response program (IGRP) assisted the government stabilize areas by consolidating its presence in areas cleared of illegal armed groups and responding to local needs. Working at the community level using a process-oriented, community driven approach, IGRP components included social infrastructure and livelihoods projects. The approach fostered community resiliencies and emphasized informal governance structures. It successfully linked beneficiaries to government programs, public and private sector funding sources and technical assistance....

COLOMBIA: DISARMAMENT, DEMOBILIZATION, AND REINTEGRATION

Date: December 2004 - December 2006

In 2003, Columbia’s government signed a peace accord with the Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC) that called for the complete demobilization of the AUC by the end of 2005 as well as a series of developments to further the peace process. At the request of USAID, Creative’s team assessed the government’s disarmament, demobilization and reinsertion (DDR) capacity and made recommendations to improve the program’s efficacy for a target population of 20,000 demobilized paramilitaries....

 

 

Computer System Analysis and Programming Support

Date: July 1987 - July 1992

The project's tasks included enhancements to existing general ledger systems of the Small Business Administration (SBA). The application systems were related to several SBA program, areas including financial management, Management Information System (MIS) Concepts and normal business type management and reporting. Financial applications included loan application, payment tracking and loan resolution. The system supported SBA's Central Office operations as well as their regional, district and local offices....

 

 

Copy General Point-of-Sale System

Date: September - November 1999

Designed and developed a web-based point of sale (POS) system for Copy General's retail and production operation. The new application replaced the Advanced Registration application with some modifications and enhancements, particularly a mechanism for submitting jobs to Windows printer devices with encoded instructions to the device. Data will be stored on a single SQL Server database, with client workstations accessing the database remotely by a standard TCP/IP connection....
