40+ years of promoting positive change

Creative has implemented hundreds of projects around the globe since it was founded in 1977. From education and elections to governance and economic growth, Creative’s efforts have made a difference. For example, since the year 2000, Creative has trained more than 389,000 teachers in 21 countries—providing them with new skills and techniques that ultimately benefit their students.

Nigeria – Northern Education Initiative Plus

Date: 2015-2020

More than 30 percent of school-aged children in Northern Nigeria do not have access to basic education. The quality of education is also often lacking. Pakistan – Reading Project

Sudan/South Sudan – Health Education and Reconciliation Project

Date: October 2006 – September 2013

The Health, Education and Reconciliation Sudan project, funded by USAID, operated in the most neglected and least developed parts of Sudan. Teachers were trained in basic education knowledge, child-centered teaching skills, health and hygiene, conflict resolution and service-learning. The project trained community health workers to visit schools with an integrated package of health services.
