Creative completed the project design and implementation plan for a ten-year project assisting the government of the Yemen Arab Republic in increasing the efficiency of primary education. The design team assisted the Ministry of Education in linking curriculum objectives, teacher training and teachers' materials and assisted in training Ministry officials in the use of information management systems for planning and evaluating project implementation by tracking key determinants of educational efficiency, effectiveness and access. ...
 

ABEL II IQC – ABEL II/EGYPT: U.S.-EGYPTIAN PARTNERSHIP FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

The U.S.-Egyptian Partnership was a cooperative effort to establish a high-level economic dialogue on policies promoting stronger ties between the two countries' private sectors and strategies for solving the challenges Egypt faced in preparing its work force for a free-market economy. In order to facilitate policy discussions on educational improvement through private and public sector linkages, Creative assembled a consortium to address four areas: education practices in a changing economy; education practices and new technology; gender and equity; and community and family partnerships for child development. ABEL II IQC – ABEL II/EGYPT: GIRLS` RIGHTS TO EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT & TRAINING (GREAT)

Creative conducted a literature review and interviews with education stakeholders to assist the USAID Egypt Mission refine its objectives for girls' and young women's education programs. The original strategic objectives were determined by USAID/Egypt in conjunction with potential customers, including students, Ministry of Education officials, the international donor community, the U.S. and indigenous non-governmental organizations. ABEL I IQC – ABEL I/YEMEN: WOMEN`S UNION BASIC EDUCATION EFFORTS

The Yemeni Women’s Union, in agreement with the Ministry of Education, provides primary school equivalency programs to women and girls. In response to efforts by the USAID Mission in Yemen and the Yemeni Women's Union to expand opportunities for female participation, Creative evaluated the 11 Women's Union branches for their potential to increase the number of girls who access and complete primary school. Creative reviewed the progress in girls' education in USAID projects in Egypt between 1970 and 1993 to identify successful strategies and programs for improving girls' school enrollment, persistence and achievement, as well as constraints to girls' education.
