ETHRD III/Egypt/Egyptian Educational Testing Center

Creative provided operational and training support to the newly institutionalized National Center for Evaluation and Examinations under the Egypt Ministry of Education. This assignment for USAID/Cairo involved assessing central and regional-level in-service training needs of teachers and administrators and designing a training plan based on the findings. BEPS/UGANDA: EXPANDING TEACHER TRAINING NATIONWIDE

Creative supported a series of efforts to achieve education for all in Uganda. Work included strengthening school management and community participation, promoting participatory learning practices, increasing teacher effectiveness, promoting universal primary education, improving support for disadvantaged children and promoting responsible health and sex education in primary schools. BEPS/ UGANDA: ASSESSMENT OF COMPLEMENTARY AND NONFORMAL EDUCATION

Setting an education budget requires a comprehensive assessment of programmatic and cost options. Creative, through the USAID-funded Basic Education Policy Support Activity (BEPS), helped estimate the cost of non-formal education programs, or complementary, basic education programs and assess if those programs should be expanded and incorporated into Uganda’s universal primary education policy. BEPS/ SWAZILAND: AFRICA BUREAU EDUCATION WORKSHOP

The challenges and successes of education reform in Africa were examined at the Africa Bureau Education Workshop in Swaziland. The workshop, conducted under the USAID-funded Basic Education Policy Support Activity (BEPS), addressed assistance through systemic education reform, enhancement of cross-sectorial programming and partnerships, and facilitation of the formation of new partnerships to maximize future education reform efforts.
