The USAID Office of Transition Initiatives supported 11 women’s networks across Honduras to connect survivors of gender-based violence with services. The networks provide support services in their communities and refer women to other critical resources. “Our objective as a network is to empower women so that they can get out of that hole, as we call it, and so that they can see that we as women are worthy and say no to violence,” says Mirna Yami Lopez of the Red de Mujeres al Mando in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
