Donna Kerner is a peacebuilding and conflict specialist with over 25 years of experience, including 16 years managing programs funded by USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives programs, USAID’s Africa Bureau and USAID Democracy, Governance and Human Rights.
She has 10 years of field experience in political transition and conflict environments in Ukraine, Iraq, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Uganda, DRC, Liberia, Burundi, Kosovo, Macedonia and Croatia. Donna supports Creative’s Communities in Transitions Division as a technical subject matter expert on political transitions, peacebuilding and conflict issues. She is Creative’s Manager of the Programming for Prevention and Peacebuilding (P4P2) IQC, which is funded by USAID’s Bureau of Conflict Prevention and Stabilization.
Donna holds a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Florida International University, Miami and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Women’s Studies from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Donna has a Federal COR Level II certification. She is a native English speaker and has professional-level proficiency in Spanish.
