Mobile youth parliaments in northern Ghana provide an opportunity for them to engage communities in discussions about issues that are obstacles to social cohesion and peace. Supported by USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives through its Littorals Regional Initiative program, the youth parliaments are organized by the nonprofit Youth Empowerment for Life (YEFL).
Youth-led YEFL set up youth parliaments in 20 districts across Northern Ghana to promote youth participation in governance.
