Haiti – Electoral Security Assessment

Creative used the Electoral Security Framework Assessment methodology developed by the Creative team to look at electoral violence from a national perspective, but with a special focus on four of Haiti’s ten departments: Nippes, Grand Anse, South and North East where MINUSTAH security forces are being redeployed in preparation for the UN’s eventual withdrawal. In these four departments, the Creative team gave particular attention to identifying opportunities for community-based approaches to enhance electoral security and for monitoring and mitigation activities with an emphasis on addressing the needs of marginalized populations, including women and persons with disabilities.
